Meet Melody from Oh Baby dotcom

Hello, I'm Melody Tuli from Oh Baby dotcom. I'm a Hoosier gal at heart and Florida transplant. I reside in South Florida with my husband. My background is in computer graphics and design. I enjoy writing poetry, short stories, growing herbs, cooking and my latest passion knitting.
I began my little shop about a year ago from family and friends urging me to place my creations on the market for retail. I put a lot of love, time and care into each piece I create and I love what I'm doing.
My best selling products would have to be my little Tunisian crochet knit jester hats. They have a great waffle weave look and texture.
This is my first time, but I've made other donations to other organizations in the past. I'm donating from my new line of cotton booties.

For the month of May I've been offering free shipping for USA customers.

It's Time for the Summer 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

We’re pleased to announce that the time has come for another Etsy Baby Shower!

The Etsy Baby Shower tradition was started more than 3 years ago. Since then, the Etsy Baby Shower has occurred several times a year! For this shower, your hosts will be Jessica from BuggaLove and Deniz from DecorativeLabels. We would be so grateful if you would consider participating in the Summer 2010 Etsy Baby Shower!

Donating shops must be willing to donate a gift(s) free of charge, including shipping, to the mom(s) they are assigned. In the past we have included any shop that makes baby items. This is not a team event and you do not have to be a member of a team to donate a gift for this shower. Everyone is welcome!

HOW TO SIGN UP...
If you want to participate as a donating shop, please reply to this email with the following information:

1. Your name, Etsy shop name, and email address
2. How many moms would you like to donate to?
3. Do you have a gender preference for your gift (s)?
4. What country are you in?
5. Can you ship internationally?

Many of the showers have had the continued support of the same shops each time and we applaud you for your unending generosity. We hope that you’ll be able to participate again and are looking forward to hearing from you.

OUR GOAL...
For the Summer 2010 Etsy Baby Shower, we would like to give gifts to 20 moms who are due between May 1, 2010 to August 31, 2010 and our goal is to provide 4 gifts to each mom. That means we need to raise 80 donated gifts!

IN OTHER NEWS...
We are looking for one (or possibly more) new hosts. Due to personal reasons, this will be Jessica’s last baby shower! She has enjoyed hosting over the past year and is sorry to be unable to continue with this responsibility. If you are interested in becoming a host for the Fall 2010 Etsy Baby Shower please contact us at etsybabyshower@gmail.com

SPREAD THE WORD...
Unfortunately, we will not be able to use the Etsy forums to help get the word out about the Etsy Baby Shower to moms and shops who might be interested. In the past, the forums have accounted for 40-50% of our participants. We would greatly appreciate it if you would forward this information, or our blog link, to any shops and expecting moms who you think might be eligible and interested in participating in the Etsy Baby Shower.

Want to RECEIVE gifts from the Etsy Baby Shower?
Are you a member of Etsy? Are you pregnant? If you are/were due May 1, 2010 to August 31, 2010 you may be eligible to receive gifts in the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower!
Eligibility Requirements:
1. You must have purchased at least 5 items on Etsy.
2. You may not have received gifts as a mom in the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower.
3. You must be willing to provide a photo of your gifts to us for our Flickr album. We may also ask that you spread the baby shower love through whatever other social media you might participate in currently.
Are you Eligible? Sign up!

Email us and provide your name, location, email address, baby's sex (if known), and due date or birth-date of your baby.

Meet Banana Bottoms from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Kristen from Banana Bottoms is a work-at-home mom to 4 beautiful kids (ages 2-12).  Kristen started sewing cloth diapers when her oldest was born and hasn’t looked back.  She loves to sew, as well as knit and crochet.

Banana Bottoms specializes in cloth diapers made from bamboo/organic cotton fabrics.  Bamboo is a terrific material for cloth diapers: very soft and very absorbent.  Kristen also designs cloth diaper covers and longies as well as products for earth-friendly moms.  This year Banana Bottoms is planning to expand and start making other items for babies and children.  The top selling items from Banana Bottoms are cloth diapers, especially the newborn size.

This is the first Etsy Baby Shower for Banana Bottoms and each of the moms matched with Banana Bottoms will be receiving a newborn cloth diaper and a set of Sherpa wipes.

Banana Bottoms will be having an Earth Day sale in April.  Kristen will be offering special trial packages of cloth diapers to entice parents to try cloth.

Meet Lizzypops from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Bronwyn from Lizzypops is a full-time scientist, wife, and mother to two toddlers, Samuel, who's almost 3, and Dixon, who is almost 16 months. Bronwyn joined Etsy in December of 2007, although hasn't had the time to build her inventory the way she'd like she dearly loves her UniQuilts and says she has "eleventy jillion" ideas in her head.

The Lizzypops brand came from Bronwyn's itch to get back into crafting. It all started with the baby apron concept, which was shared by a friend. She put her own stylistic stamp on it and made it her own. Then Bronwyn inherited a pile of quilt tops from her great grandmother, and BAM! The UniQuilt concept was born.  Some of the best selling items are the UniQuilts, Supersize Me bibs, and baby aprons.

Bronwyn has participated as both a donor and recipient in previous Etsy Baby Showers.  The three lucky moms matched with Lizzypops will be receiving Bronwyn's traditional baby shower gift: the newborn baby apron. It's great for pictures and for catching spit-ups and drool in those first few months.

Bronwyn always offers free shipping to anyone who takes the time to tell her how they discovered Lizzypops. In April, she'll be celebrating her 33rd birthday by offering a 33% discount on purchases over $20.

You can find Bronwyn on Ravelry, too, as BronwynRH

Monarch Dancer is filled with crocheted goodies for adults, children and the home. The bear beanies have been a huge hit for the last few months. Jackie has made well over 100 of these hats. Another big seller are the newsboy caps for babies and women.

Meet T and Little S Designs from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Traci from T and Little S Designs is a stay-at-home mommy to her daughter Sophia.  She says that in her "former life", she taught 5th grade. She has been scrapbooking since 2000 and loves to share her hobby through the creations in my shop. She finds her creative inspirations in lots of places--sometimes magazines or sketches, new fads (like Amy Butler papers!), and even from her daughter.

The main shop focus for T and Little S Designs currently is decoupaged items, cards for kids, and custom party and shower favors and decor. Traci has ventured into the world of custom invitations and party supplies after not being able to find exactly what she was looking for elsewhere.

As for the custom invitations, Traci enjoys knowing that her creative touch is helping make someone else's special day absolutely perfect. She really works hard to make sure that her invitations are exactly what the customer was looking for whether they're for birthdays, weddings, etc. Traci is now venturing out to include other party supplies like banners, cupcake toppers, napkin rings, placecards, thank you notes, placemats, etc., so you can truly have a matching customized party!

Currently, the top selling product from T and Little S Designs are the classroom valentine sets Traci loves knowing that there's a little handmade that will be part of such a commercialized holiday, and she has several sets available.

Traci participated in an Etsy Baby Shower awhile back and is excited to participate again.  The moms matched with T and Little S Designs will be receiving a set of custom ceramic baby coasters personalized w/ the name and birth information.

T and Little S Designs will be offering 20% off on all orders for blog readers, be sure to use the code "etsy baby shower" in the message to sellers.
