Meet Banana Bottoms from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Kristen from Banana Bottoms is a work-at-home mom to 4 beautiful kids (ages 2-12).  Kristen started sewing cloth diapers when her oldest was born and hasn’t looked back.  She loves to sew, as well as knit and crochet.

Banana Bottoms specializes in cloth diapers made from bamboo/organic cotton fabrics.  Bamboo is a terrific material for cloth diapers: very soft and very absorbent.  Kristen also designs cloth diaper covers and longies as well as products for earth-friendly moms.  This year Banana Bottoms is planning to expand and start making other items for babies and children.  The top selling items from Banana Bottoms are cloth diapers, especially the newborn size.

This is the first Etsy Baby Shower for Banana Bottoms and each of the moms matched with Banana Bottoms will be receiving a newborn cloth diaper and a set of Sherpa wipes.

Banana Bottoms will be having an Earth Day sale in April.  Kristen will be offering special trial packages of cloth diapers to entice parents to try cloth.

Meet Lizzypops from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Bronwyn from Lizzypops is a full-time scientist, wife, and mother to two toddlers, Samuel, who's almost 3, and Dixon, who is almost 16 months. Bronwyn joined Etsy in December of 2007, although hasn't had the time to build her inventory the way she'd like she dearly loves her UniQuilts and says she has "eleventy jillion" ideas in her head.

The Lizzypops brand came from Bronwyn's itch to get back into crafting. It all started with the baby apron concept, which was shared by a friend. She put her own stylistic stamp on it and made it her own. Then Bronwyn inherited a pile of quilt tops from her great grandmother, and BAM! The UniQuilt concept was born.  Some of the best selling items are the UniQuilts, Supersize Me bibs, and baby aprons.

Bronwyn has participated as both a donor and recipient in previous Etsy Baby Showers.  The three lucky moms matched with Lizzypops will be receiving Bronwyn's traditional baby shower gift: the newborn baby apron. It's great for pictures and for catching spit-ups and drool in those first few months.

Bronwyn always offers free shipping to anyone who takes the time to tell her how they discovered Lizzypops. In April, she'll be celebrating her 33rd birthday by offering a 33% discount on purchases over $20.

You can find Bronwyn on Ravelry, too, as BronwynRH

Meet Monarch Dancer from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Jackie from Monarch Dancer was born and raised in Long Island, NY. Jackie is married with four children, ans she says, "that includes the husband."  Jackie is "owned" by a yellow lab and quite a few cats. She didn't say how many cats but said she hasn't reached "crazy cat lady status.......yet."

After the woman Jackie was doing private duty from was put in a nursing home a few months ago, she lost her job.  Feeling a bit burnt out and wanting to enjoy her youngest daughter's "high school" years she decided to try her hand at a home business. Jackie has been crocheting since she was a kid and felt she had enough talent to make a few "beans" selling her "pretties."

Monarch Dancer is filled with crocheted goodies for adults, children and the home. The bear beanies have been a huge hit for the last few months. Jackie has made well over 100 of these hats. Another big seller are the newsboy caps for babies and women.

This is the first time Etsy Baby Shower Jackie has participated in. The two lucky moms matched with Monarch Dancer will receive bear beanies.

Blog readers can receive a 10% discount from Monarch Dancer. In note to seller put "etsybabyshower" blog and the discount will be refunded via Paypal.

Meet Wood Pond Designs from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Jennifer from Wood Pond Designs has always been creative and loves making all kinds of things.  She started making Jumble Balls a few years ago based on a quilted ball her mother made. Jennifer first gave them as gifts to friends having babies and they became a huge hit at baby showers.  Jumble Balls are everything you love in a baby toy- they are soft, colorful, safe, washable and developmental. They are loved by babies and their parents alike! Jennifer also enjoys working with wool, and have found creating plush critters and baby rattles to be a blast as each one has it's own silly quirkiness. Jennifer has a notebook filled with design ideas but says that "there is just not enough time in a day!"

Wood Pond Designs is the place to find cute, safe, washable and fun Jumble Balls, silly one-of-a-kind upcycled plush baby rattles and toys, plus other cool stuff.  The best selling items are the Owls & Polka Dot Soft Baby Toy Jumble Ball, Rainbow and Ribbons Jumble Ball, and wooly baby bunny rattles.

Jennifer also participated in the Fall 2009 Etsy Baby Shower and will be donating a high contrast black, red and white Jumble Ball to the lucky mom matched with her this time.
