Meet Wood Pond Designs from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Jennifer from Wood Pond Designs has always been creative and loves making all kinds of things.  She started making Jumble Balls a few years ago based on a quilted ball her mother made. Jennifer first gave them as gifts to friends having babies and they became a huge hit at baby showers.  Jumble Balls are everything you love in a baby toy- they are soft, colorful, safe, washable and developmental. They are loved by babies and their parents alike! Jennifer also enjoys working with wool, and have found creating plush critters and baby rattles to be a blast as each one has it's own silly quirkiness. Jennifer has a notebook filled with design ideas but says that "there is just not enough time in a day!"

Wood Pond Designs is the place to find cute, safe, washable and fun Jumble Balls, silly one-of-a-kind upcycled plush baby rattles and toys, plus other cool stuff.  The best selling items are the Owls & Polka Dot Soft Baby Toy Jumble Ball, Rainbow and Ribbons Jumble Ball, and wooly baby bunny rattles.

Beth's shop, BabyEtte is all about Babywearing and Style. BabyEtte specializes in ring slings, all handmade using details that Beth has loved from various carriers she has personally used over the last 10 years.  Beth says that the best part is she gets to pick any fabric she wants, and let her creativity go wild... this is what makes BabyEtte baby carriers special and unique.

Meet Booger and Tash from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Vicki from Booger and Tash is a stay-at-home mom with two beautiful little girls who she loves and adores. Meet FinchDesignSF from the Winter 2010 Etsy Baby Shower

Christina from FinchDesignSF had been working as an architect and interior designer for two years, and missed working with her hands after spending 9 hours a day on the computer!  After work she taught herself to sew, and started making outfits for her nephew and decided to sell her creations on Etsy to see if making/ designing clothing would be something she wanted to pursue. So far, she has met a lot of amazing crafters, and really enjoys being able to use her architecture skills for something completely different!

FinchDesignSF originally began with appliqued bodysuits, hats, and blankets, and now has added a lot of new products to the mix. Christina is currently making pants, sweaters, and much more from scratch and enjoying every minute of it! One of the great things about FinchDesignSF is that there is something for everyone's taste and budget. You will find everything from cotton baby hoodies, to repurposed bags, to organic sherpa pants. Within all these products, Christina has stayed true to her design aesthetic - creating simple and timeless designs mixed with bold colors and lush fabrics.

Ahmelie, owner of Ahmelie on Etsy,  says she is "truly a Material Girl" since she would much rather spend a day shopping for fabric than soaking at the spa. Her fabric inventory can rival most sewer's inventory and she quickly added "[she] who dies with the most fabric wins, right?!"

Courtney from Cuppy Cake Boutique is a stay-at-home mom to a "very active toddler boy" and wife to an "amazing husband". She is also a student graduating this year with a degree in Sociology and says, "no [she's] not 100% certain what [she is] going to do with that degree."  Courtney loves to sew and started selling actively on Etsy about 3 months ago.  She enjoys the idea of not having any limitations on what she creates.
